The cheapest quote feels like a win. Until the countertop arrives.

Here is what low quotes usually leave out. The slab quality. Level 1 stone is priced low for a reason – it has more variation, more repairs, and shorter lifespan. The edge profile. Basic eased edges are included. Anything else gets added later. Sink cutouts and faucet holes. Some companies charge separately for every cutout. Removal of your old countertop. Often not included at all. The template visit. Some budget fabricators skip it entirely and cut from measurements – which is how you end up with gaps.

By the time all of that gets added, the “cheap” quote is often more expensive than the honest one. And that’s before accounting for the cost of fixing poor fabrication or replacing a slab that failed in two years.

A good quote covers the full job – material, template, fabrication, cutouts, edge, removal, and installation. If yours doesn’t, ask what’s missing.

We build every quote to include everything. No surprises on install day.
