How to measure the countertop
Watch the guide on how to provide measurements for an estimate.
Measurement steps

The drawing provides a visual to our specialists and serves as a convenient place to record your measurements. So create a rough sketch of the shape of your space. In the drawing, don’t forget to include the backsplash areas as well.

Measuring Your Countertops
To measure the length of one section of countertops, run a measuring tape flush along the back edge of the section from one end to the other end. Repeat this process until you have measured the length of each section of your countertops.
To measure the width of countertops, run the measuring tape from the back of the countertop to its finished front edge. Repeat this process until you have measured the width of each section of the countertop.
03 /
Adding Overhang
Add any additional inches for the overhang of your new countertops where it’s necessary especially if you are planning to do a bar area or island.
04 /
Sketch the Sink and Cooktop Cutouts
Don’t worry about any sink or cooktop areas- just let us know where those areas are and we will calculate everything for you.
